Better skin without disappearing for a week. UltraClear is a cold fiber laser that resurfaces skin and builds collagen with far less heat than traditional lasers. That means less downtime, less discomfort, and results you can see within days.

Available at Afterglow Medical Aesthetics & Wellness in Corte Madera and Los Gatos.

What is UltraClear?

UltraClear is an FDA-cleared 2910 nm cold fiber laser. It delivers short, concentrated pulses that remove dull, damaged surface skin. At the same time, controlled energy in the deeper layers signals your skin to produce new collagen.

Because it runs cooler than older ablative lasers, treatment is gentler on the skin around it. It’s also safe for all skin types, including medium and deeper skin tones.

What UltraClear treats

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Lines around the eyes
  • Acne scars
  • Uneven texture and enlarged pores
  • Dullness and uneven tone
  • Sun damage and age spots
  • Mild laxity and early signs of aging

Why patients choose UltraClear

  • Fast recovery. Lighter treatments are often called a lunchtime laser. Most people are back at work the same or next day.
  • Comfortable. Patients typically rate it under 3 out of 10 for discomfort.
  • Customizable. Your provider can go light for a glow or deeper for scars and wrinkles.
  • All skin types. Designed to treat skin of color safely.

How many treatments will I need?

It depends on your skin and your goals. Some patients see what they want after one session. Others, especially those treating acne scars or deeper lines, do a short series. Your provider will map out a plan at your consultation.

  • Cold sore outbreaks.
  • Blistering and burns.

FDA approval and off-label use

UltraClear is FDA-cleared (510(k) K233803) for dermatological procedures that coagulate, resurface and ablate soft tissue, including skin resurfacing, wrinkles, fine lines, textural irregularities, scar revision (including acne scars) and benign pigmented lesions. Clearance means the FDA found the device substantially equivalent to lasers already on the market. A use outside that list is off-label.
